Sometimes you have a question about using Brightspace and can't find the answer very quickly.
- Ask Bright! the chatbot in Brightspace. The chatbot only searches Screensteps manuals so you will always get an answer that fits the Saxion situation. Click here for a sample question and answer in the chatbot.
- Search the manual yourself in Screensteps, accessible via the Help - button in Brightspace.
Position of the Chatbot Icon
By default, the chatbot icon appears in the bottom-right corner of your screen when you open Brightspace. You cannot disable or hide this icon, but you can move it to a different corner of the screen if you prefer especially if it covers other content or features.
Available positions
You can drag the icon to one of the following corners of your screen:
- Bottom-right (default)
- Bottom-left
- Top-right
- Top-left
How do I move the chatbot?
- Click and hold the chatbot icon with your mouse.
- Drag the icon to one of the other corners of your screen.
- Release the mouse button to place the icon in the new position.
The chatbot temporarily remembers your choice
The chatbot will remember your chosen position as long as your browser session remains open.
If you close and reopen your browser, the chatbot will return to the default position in the bottom-right corner.

Manuals in Screensteps
Via the Help - button in Brightspace you will be taken directly to Screensteps. You can also go to screensteps.saxion.nl manually.
In Screensteps you will find extensive manuals matching various themes.
- Click on 'Students - English' to find all manuals on topics relevant to students.
- You can also enter a keyword in the search bar to search the database for manuals on your topic.
