Deleting content from your video portal is an essential task for maintaining an organized and clutter-free environment. Whether you're looking to remove outdated information, free up storage space, or simply streamline your content, knowing how to effectively delete content is crucial. In this article, we'll guide you through the steps to safely and efficiently delete content from your site, ensuring your platform remains clean and up-to-date.
Delete from My Media
- From the user menu, select My Media.

The My Media page displays.

- Click on the three dots to the right of the desired entry and select Delete.

A confirmation message displays.
Are you sure you want to delete this media and move it to the recycle bin? The media will be automatically deleted from the recycle bin within 15 days.

Once an item has been moved to the recycle bin, it can be recovered. Visit our article Restore items from the Recycle bin to find out more.
Bulk Action
- To delete more than one item, check the boxes on the upper left of the desired media.
- Scroll to the top of the page, and click Delete.
The Delete option only displays after you have selected at least one item.

A confirmation message displays. Are you sure you want to delete these [x] media and move them to the recycle bin? These media will be automatically deleted from the recycle bin within 15 days.

There's no limit to the number of items that you can add to the recycle bin.
- Click Delete.
From the media page
- Access the media page. (You can do this by clicking on the thumbnail of the desired media.)
The media page displays.

- Click the three dots under the player and select Delete.

A confirmation message displays.

- Click Delete.
Restore deleted items from the recycle bin within 15 days
Did you delete something and now you want it back? Accidents happen, but don't worry, you can easily restore deleted items without needing to ask your administrator.
Restore a single item
- Go to the user menu and choose My Recycle Bin.

The Recycle bin page opens.

Here you can see all the media items that have been deleted. The publish status of each item is grey. If you click on it, you can see where the media was originally published.
Only users with content ownership are able to see the deleted media in the recycle bin. Guest users won't have access.

For non-published status (such as private and unlisted) the status won't be clickable, and nothing will happen when hovering over it.

A confirmation message displays.

- Choose Restore or Cancel.
The item is recovered and restored to its original place.
Restore multiple items
If there are many items in the Recycle Bin, you can use the Filters function to search the media items by type.

- Click the boxes next to each media item you want to restore.
- From the ACTIONS menu, choose Restore.

A confirmation message displays.

The deleted items are recovered and restored to their original places.
