After migration: Link your Kaltura Capture account to the new site

Why a migration?

Saxion's media content is stored on the video platform Kaltura at a server location in the USA. To comply with the GDPR legislation, we are moving the current data to a server in Europe. The migration of the data is largely automatic. However, there are some things that are important for owners of media on Saxion's video platform to know and do.

Link Kaltura Capture to the new environment

When you try to upload a recording from the Kaltura Capture app on your computer to the video platform, you get an error message. This is because the old environment is no longer active. The error message you see is:

To resolve this, you need to reconnect Kaltura Capture to the new environment. Follow the following steps:

  1. Log in to the new site using this link: Media Saxion
  2. You will immediately get a pop-up after logging in asking you to open KalturaCapture. Click on "KalturaCapture openen"
  1. Once you have now opened the app, you can check if the link is correct. By clicking on “Manage” in the lower right corner.
  1. Now click on the information icon “i” and you will see behind “website” the url https://media.saxion.nl.
    Kaltura Capture is now correctly linked and your recordings will appear correctly in the new environment after uploading.
