Saxion's media content is stored in the program Kaltura. Currently, the media content is stored in a server location in the USA. To comply with the GDPR legislation, we will migrate the current data to a server location in a member state of the European Economic Area (EEA). The migration of the data will be largely automatic. However, there are some things that are important for owners of media on Saxion's video platform to know and do. One is the download of media analytics.

Of the videos being migrated, almost all analytics will be dropped. With the exception of the number of plays and the last time the video was played. You can make a printout of the analytics if you want to use them later. You can do that from now until Friday, July 18, 2025.

1. Go to "My Media" in Brightspace of in video.saxion.nl
2. Search for the media file whose analytics you want to view
3. Click on the graph icon to the right of the title
   

      OR click on the title of the video followed by the Actions en Analytics button.

4. Set the desired date range at the top right and click apply

5. Now export the analytics by clicking Export, select the desired data and click Export Reports

6. Click on Export via email to download the analytics to your outlook mail.

7. You will receive an email from Kaltura with hyperlinks to CSV files. If you cannot open the file from Outlook, right click on the hyperlink and choose copy link address. Paste the link address in a new tab after which you will get a popup to save the file to your computer.

You can now open the data with Microsoft Excel, for example.

1. Go to video.saxion.nl, click on your name followed by My Analytics
2. Set the desired date range at the top right and click apply
3. Download a PDF report now by clicking Download Report or Export a CSV file by clicking Export.

If you own a channel then it is also possible to download the analytics of all media in that channel.

1. Go to the My Channels page and click on the desired channel
2. Click on the hamburgermenu at the top right followed by Analytics
3. Follow step 4 through 7 from Download analytics of one media entry
