If a lecturer assesses an Assignment based on a rubric and has linked it to the Assignment in Brightspace, you can view this rubric. You can do this before you create and submit the assignment so that you know which assessment criteria your Assignment must meet. After the teacher has assessed your Assignment, you can also see what score you have achieved based on the criteria in the rubric.
View rubric for handing in Assignment
- Navigate to Course Tools in your course's navigation bar.
- Click Assignments. You land on the Assignments homepage.
- Click on the Assignment for which you want to see the rubric.
- Click on Show Rubrics.
You will now see the rubric with the assessment criteria on which the teacher will assess your Assignment.
The instructor may not have associated a rubric with the assignment or may have chosen not to make the rubric visible to students. In that case, the Show Rubrics heading will not be visible.
View rubric after assessment Assignment
- Navigate to Course Tools in your course navigation bar.
- Click Assignments.
If an Assignment has been checked in, you will see your score under Score. Under Evaluation Status you can see whether the teacher has provided feedback.
- Click on Unread to view the feedback rubric.
The instructor may not have associated a rubric with the assignment or may have chosen not to make the rubric visible to students. In that case, no Rubric will be visible.
Under Submission Feedback you will see the instructor's feedback. Below you can see the entire rubric. For each criterion you can see in blue which score you have achieved.
- At the bottom of the rubric is your total score.
- Under Feedback Date you can see when the instructor added the feedback to your Assignment.
- When the teacher has included a sound fragment in the feedback, you will find it under Attached Files
- Under Submission(s) you will see your submitted assignment. If the instructor has also added in-text feedback, you can see this by clicking View Inline Feedback.
- Click Done to return to the Assignments homepage.
