This article explains how you can submit a video / audio assignment on Brightspace.
Videos / audio files that are part of an assignment should always be uploaded to Kaltura before submitting them to the assignment. You can read how to upload videos / audio in Kaltura in the article: How do I add a video / audio to Kaltura?
- Navigate to Testing & Assignments in the course content of your course.
- Click on the desired assignment
- Click in the text area under Text Submmission
- Several icons now appear above the text area. Click on the Insert Stuff icon.
- Click on Kaltura Media Submission For Students
- Click on Embed behind the appropriate video / audio and then on Insert
- Add, if necessary any comments to the video / audio
- Click on Submit to submit the video / audio.
Are you getting the message, “A file submission is required for this assignment”? This is because an assignment is set as 'File submission'. In addition to adding the video / audio, using Insert Stuff > Kaltura Media Submission For Students, it is also necessary to add a file . Even if your assignment is only about the video / audio, it is still necessary and you can, for example, add an empty Word document or an empty text file.
