Confirmation email after assignment submission not sent

Normally, you will receive an e-mail confirmation after you submit an assignment. Currently, however, this is not always the case. In this article we explain how you can still check if you submitted the assignment correctly. We also explain a workaround for future submission attempts to ensure the confirmation email is sent.

Checking if the assignment was submitted correctly

Once you have submitted the assignment, you can check for yourself if the submission was done correctly.

  1. Click on 'Course Tools' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on 'Assignments'
  3. Followed by 'View History'
  1. Select the desired assignment and click on 'Apply'.
  2. You now see the submitted attempt(s)

Workaround for future attempts

Go through the following steps to receive a confirmation email on future attempts

  1. Click on 'Course Tools' at the top of the navigation bar
  2. Click on 'Assignments
  3. Click on the name of the assignment you need to submit e.g. 'Opdracht week 1'.

Now you come to the screen where you can upload the assignment

  1. Select the appropriate file at 'Add a File' or submit a video using the Insert Stuff button.
  2. Then click on 'Submit'.

When you have completed these steps you will receive a confirmation notification.
