Using Quiz Wizard is a simple 3-step process:
- Generate MCQs or flashcards from a topic, a document, a text, a web link, or even an audio or video file.
- Customize the content to suit your needs perfectly.
- Export to the tool of your choice (Wooclap, Wooflash, Moodle, Word, or Excel).
Generating my content
Choosing the soure
Quiz Wizard allows you to create MCQs or flashcards from various sources.
A topic
Specify the topic on which the content will be based. A precise topic results in more targeted questions. However, a broad topic can be useful to overview various facets of a the subject before delving into specifics.
To help the model propose more precise questions, you can also specify the subject, expected level, and class for which the content is intended. These three options are optional, only the theme is mandatory.
A document
This could be a course presentation, notes, a research paper, or a press article. Accepted formats include PDF, PowerPoint, OpenDocuments, Pages, Text.
Documents can be up to 200MB. For larger files, consider breaking the file into parts or removing images that may be increasing its size.
A text
Paste the text that you'd like to base the questions on.
A link to a website
Paste the link to a website you want to use as a foundation for questions or flashcards. This could be a blog post, a Wikipedia page, or any other website.
Note that only the textual content of the site will be used to create questions; images and videos are ignored.
An audio or video file
Upload an audio or video file from your computer, and Quiz Wizard will create questions and flashcards from it!
Accepted formats include MP3, MP4, MPEG, MPGA, M4A, WAV, WEBM. Files can be up to 25MB. For larger files, consider breaking them into parts.
For videos, only the audio content will be used to create questions.
Choosing the type of question
Once you've specified the content to be used for creating questions, it's time to select the type of question you want to generate. Quiz Wizard offers different question formats:
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). You can choose the number of correct and incorrect responses for each question.
- Open-ended questions with a correct answer.
- Open-ended questions without a specified correct answer. These are great for initiating discussions with your students or asking for a reasoned response.
- Flashcards. Quiz Wizard offers various flashcard formats (definition flashcards, ones based on works and authors, dates, and events, etc.). You can also click on "Custom" to create your own deck of flashcard.
đź’ˇ For example, if your topic is "The Cold War", and you specify "An event" on the front and "Its description" on the back, Quiz Wizard will generate a deck of flashcards where each front features a different event, and the back provides a description of that event. Some generated flashcards could be for instance:
- "The Berlin Blockade" ⇒ "The siege of West Berlin by the Soviet Union in 1948-1949 to try to force the Allies to abandon the city."
- "The Cuban Missile Crisis" ⇒ "The confrontation between the US and the Soviet Union in 1962, when the Soviet Union installed nuclear missiles in Cuba."
All you have to do next is click "Generate Content," and the magic happens!

You can make changes directly by clicking on a question or a proposed response and editing the text.
