Grade Schemes make it possible to make changes to how grades are registered. You can choose whether certain grades are translated to a symbol, text or whether they are rounded to a specific percentage.

  1. Click on Grades in the navigationbar of your course.
  2. Navigate to Schemes (third tab). You will land on the Grade scheme homepage. Here, you can find an overview of all available schemes.
  3. With the buttons at the top, you can perform the following actions:
    • Click on New Scheme to create anew scheme
    • Click on More Actions to Copy or Delete existing schemes.
  4. In the table, you can see several columns:
    • Under Scheme Name you can see an overview of the existing schemes.
    • Under Default Scheme you can see which scheme is active based on the check.
  5. The Grade scheme Percentage is the standard assessment scheme, predefined at Saxion organisation level.
    • The three schemes mentioned below are also predefined:
      • Beoordelingsschema (Cesuur 55%): Calculates a final mark based on the percentages, where the cut-off mark is 55% and 95-100%= 10, 85-95%= 9, 75-85%= 8, etc.
      • Niet Voldaan/ Voldaan: From 51% an assignment is 'Fulfilled', below which it is 'Not fulfilled'
      • No Go/Go: From 50% a student receives a 'Go'
    • The bottom 3 Grade Schemes are specifically intended for SPS.
  6. Under Set as Default you can make a different scheme active by clicking on the check box. This Grade scheme is then automatically linked to all Grade categories and Grade items created in this course.
