- Check for grading system: Weighted.
- Check Release Calculated Final Grade .
If the grade is released immediately after entering: Check Automatically release final grade.

Create categories
Then you need to create categories.
- Click on Grades in the navigation bar.
- Go to the Manage Grades tab.
- Create a category of the same name for the assignment.
4. Enter the weighting of the assessment at Weight.
5. Check Distribute weight evenly across all items .
6. Enter "1" at Number of lowest non-bonus items to drop (highest number counts).
7. Click Save & Close.
