In this article, you will learn how to adjust the availability of multiple content items simultaneously using the Manage Dates feature.
The availability of a single content item can also be adjusted when creating or editing content.
Start and end dates indicate when students can access a topic or module.
If you set a start, end, or due date for a topic or module, it will appear in the Upcoming Events and Agenda of the Course Calendar.
Note: If you set a due date later than the due date, students can still access and complete the topic.
Also important: adding an expiration date to a Content item that contains an assignment overrides any existing expiration date that is further in the future. The due date also overrides the due date in the Calendar tool.
There may be course material that you want to make available automatically from a certain date or for a period between two dates. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open Course Administration from the navigation bar of your course Homepage.
- Under Site Resources, click Manage Dates.
3. Apply a filter so that only Content is visible in the Manage Dates table.
4. To edit the availability of only one Content item, click the drop-down menu for the Content item and then click Edit Dates. To change the availability of multiple Content items at once, select the items by checking the boxes on the left side of the table and click Bulk Edit Dates at the top of the table.
5. Select and set expiration or availability dates for the content.
6. Press Save to save it.
