Hybride teaching with Teams and Brightspace

Aangepast op

If you want to teach hybrid lessons via Microsoft Teams using a laptop and a large screen in the classroom, there are several options. These are discussed in this article.

For information about the possibilities within Microsoft Teams and Brightspace, see the following articles

Option 1

You can use PowerPoint Live.

  1. Open the presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. Go to the Slide Show tab.
  3. Click From the Beginning.
  1. In the Slide Show, click on the three dots below the presentation (bottom left).
  2. Select Hide Presenter View

You will now see the PowerPoint presentation enlarged on the screen, and you can also see the participants on the side. This option was also available in Blackboard under Blackboard Collab. You can manually prepare notes for the lesson on your laptop (on the left in the image below).

Option 2

The second option available is to share the PowerPoint presentation by sharing your own screen. With this option, any notes are visible on the laptop and you only see the online student who is speaking on screen. The students cannot see the notes.
